Douglas is optimistic about beating the disease, but we can’t help but wonder just how bad Stage 4 Throat Cancer really is.

Typically, when cancer reaches stage 4, it means that the disease is usually impossible to cure because it has spread beyond the original tumour. Douglas, however, reports that he has an 80 percent chance of recovery, so his prognosis looks a bit better.

Michael smoked for many years, which no doubt contributed to him developing cancer. He will be undergoing treatment for the next two months.

Throat cancer usually means cancer of the upper part of the throat behind the nose, as well as the middle and lower areas. It can also consist of cancer of the voice box.

We wish Michael all the best as he fights to beat this awful disease!

The character of Harvey Weingard on Entourage, played by late actor Maury Chaykin, is said to be based on Weinstein.

Kate graces the cover of the October issue of ELLE UK magazine, and on the subject of marriage, she says, “It’s definitely not something I’m looking for.” Kate goes on to say that she does believe in love, and that when you “open yourself up to it, it’s the most beautiful thing.”

Hudson carries no bitterness from her divorce from rocker, Chris Robinson, who has since remarried and had another child. She and Chris do an excellent job of remaining friends while co-parenting their son, Ryder, and she still speaks very highly of him.

“Chris is a wellspring of information. He knows more about music than anyone I’ve ever met. I still feel close to him”, Kate says. Wouldn’t it be great if more divorced parents could behave like Kate and Chris? Just because two people aren’t in love anymore doesn’t mean that respect and friendship can’t still exist between them. They set such a great example for other split couples, don’t you think?

Kate recently began dating Muse frontman, Matt Bellamy, and when asked about him, she simply replied, “He’s lovely.” She also added that the two are still getting to know each other.

Marriage may or may not be in Kate Hudson’s future, but she’s definitely got her priorities straight! She cites “raising her son properly”, and being concerned with what makes her and her family happy the most important things on her list.

Cannon was at the Arthur Ashe Kids Day tennis event in Flushing, New York last Sunday where he spoke with UsMagazine.com and said, “I think it’s more of a spiritual thing, like trying to stay true and stay private for as long as you possibly can. She wants to keep as much privacy as she possibly can.”

Well, here’s a suggestion if you want to remain private — don’t go out of the house in a dress that’s sold at Pea in the Pod! I’m pretty sure Mariah can afford to get clothes made for her that aren’t bought at the local maternity store at the mall, so to me this was just a little bit of a desire for attention, don’t you think?

Carey released a short statement last week thanking fans for their well wishes and support, but claiming she is ‘superstitious’ and “When the time is right, everyone will know.”

I can fully respect a woman’s right to wait until they are ready to announce their pregnancy, but don’t we think this has gone on long enough? By the time they’re ready to officially announce it nobody is going to care anymore! At the very least, if they want to keep the pregnancy under wraps, then maybe Cannon should stop talking about it! What do you think? Do you think all this denial is just silly, or should we respect their privacy until they’re ready to make the big announcement?

“I’m trying to read as much as I can, and prep as much as I can,” the 37-year-old told Ryan Seacrest on the red carpet on Sunday night. “But there’s only so much you can do because each baby is super individual and totally their own person.”

Despite preparations, though, he’s at least wise enough to know that things will inevitably get a little chaotic once the kids make an appearance. “It’s the big, crazy, calm before the ridiculous storm,” he said.

And judging from these photos, we can off the recent ‘bump watch’ on Gwen Stefani. The famous singer is looking pretty slim in these pictures in her white tank top and jeans. Although I guess only time will tell, but it seems like every few weeks we’re trying to make her pregnant!

Amy made her post-baby debut at the 2010 Emmy Awards last night, and she looked absolutely radiant! Three weeks after I had my son, I could barely manage to grab a shower, and Amy’s already pulling off looking fab in an evening gown!

C’mon, isn’t she gorgeous?

Their night at the Emmys was extra special for Amy and Will, because it also happened to be their seventh wedding anniversary. Someone on the red carpet told Amy that the traditional gift for lucky number seven is copper and wool, but she and Will didn’t exchange those things with each other.

I think that a date night at the Emmys is about the best anniversary gift they could’ve gotten, don’t you?

The celebrity mum spent this week at a screening of her new film Machete. She is also in talks to star in Spy Kids 4 as a retired spy who is reactivated as her stepchildren become the new “spy kids.”

It seems like just yesterday this little tyke was born, but she is already 2-years-old. Time flies and it’s good to see that Jessica makes time for her daughter in her busy life.

Oh, and the mother of two also didn’t cause him to drive his car into a tree in that bizarre accident that started this entire matter, like everyone speculated. In an exclusive interview with People magazine, which she says will be her first and last statement on the subject, Elin says Tiger drove his car into a tree all by himself — she had nothing to do with it.

“The speculation that I would have used a golf club to hit him is just truly ridiculous,” she tells People. “Tiger left the house that night, and after a while when he didn’t return, I got worried and decided to look for him. That’s when I found him in the car. I did everything I could to get him out of the locked car. To think anything else is absolutely wrong.”

But Elin earns a good sport award for being able to laugh at herself and her situation despite the emotional tumult she was going through.

She calls the SNL parody, as well as a similar South Park joke, “pretty hysterical,” though she adds that they were totally untrue.

Gwen Stefani is officially on bump watch, as she was photographed with Kingston and Zuma with maybe (possibly?) the start of a baby bump.
